Industrial
MRP provides specialist air quality and meteorological consulting to industrial operators across Australia, supporting refining, chemical manufacturing, power generation, waste and resource recovery, ports and quarrying. Our work spans new facilities, expansions, and operating assets, delivering technically robust assessments that support regulatory approvals, manage operational risk, and address community impacts.

How we support industrial operators
We tailor our services to infrastructure proponents and delivery teams across refining, chemical manufacturing, power generation, road, rail, port, energy, and major construction projects. Our work covers construction and operational emissions, community impacts, and staged compliance, designed to be practical, defensible, and aligned with large-scale delivery. We support projects through approvals and compliance under federal and state environmental protection policies, licence conditions and environmental impact assessments. Our advice is proportionate to project scale, complexity, and surrounding land use.

Industrial emissions
We characterise emissions from industrial processes including refining, chemical manufacturing, and power generation to develop accurate inputs for air quality impact assessment. Our modelling supports regulatory approvals and ongoing compliance by demonstrating how stack and process emissions affect surrounding environments.

Construction emissions
We assess dust, particulates, NOx, carbon monoxide, diesel exhaust, and air toxics associated with construction and operation of infrastructure assets. Our assessments support approvals, licence applications, construction environmental management plans, and community impact evaluation

Dust
We assess dust emissions from activities such as quarrying, construction, demolition, and bulk material handling. Our work supports impact assessment, monitoring programmes, and practical management measures that meet approval conditions and minimise impacts on surrounding communities.

Odour
Odour is a common driver of community complaints across waste management, wastewater treatment, processing, and materials handling operations. We assess odour sources, model dispersion, and develop practical management strategies to minimise offsite impacts and support compliance.

Meteorology
Local meteorological conditions strongly influence how emissions disperse toward nearby receptors. We develop site-representative meteorological datasets and analyses to underpin dispersion modelling and regulatory submissions, accounting for terrain effects, coastal influences, and upset event conditions.

Occupational and workplace exposure
We assess workplace exposure to airborne dusts, fumes, vapours, and gases across industrial operations. Our work supports exposure monitoring programme design and the development of practical control measures consistent with workplace health and safety requirements.
Core services
Our services cover the full lifecycle, from pre-approval impact assessment through to operational monitoring, compliance reporting, and management of community impacts.
